About
Commercial operator, analyst and researcher.
Background
Xenon Insight was created to bridge a gap I have repeatedly seen in B2B businesses: commercial decisions are often made either from experience without sufficient evidence, or from analysis without enough commercial context.
My background brings those perspectives together. Over 25 years in senior commercial leadership, I have helped grow a manufacturing business from launch to £17m revenue and operated within a wider £30m group. That experience includes sales strategy, forecasting, customer development, commercial planning, leadership, team performance and Board-level decision-making.
Alongside that operating background, I hold an MBA with merit and am undertaking doctoral research into leadership, culture, retention and productivity within UK manufacturing SMEs. This academic work strengthens the research methods, critical thinking and evidence evaluation applied within each engagement.
The intention is not to make the work academic or theoretical. It is to improve the quality of the questions asked, challenge assumptions more carefully and ensure recommendations are supported by evidence as well as commercial judgement.
The result is analysis and advice designed for practical management use — commercially grounded, evidence-led and proportionate to the decision being made.
